You can refer online marketing as Internet marketing, web marketing, e-marketing or search engine marketing. It is simply marketing the products or services over the internet. There are many business models in internet marketing. Ecommerce is one such model where you can sell the goods directly to the consumers or businesses. They are known as B2C which is business to consumer and B2B which is business to business.
The other model is Publishing which is nothing but advertising about your products or services. The Lead based websites is another model where the business generates value by acquiring sales leads from its own website. Affiliate marketing which is the most famous business model through which a product or service is developed by one and is sold by another. You will be the active sellers for a good share of profits. The owner of the product provides sales letter, affiliate links or tracking facilities for you to generate leads.
The local internet marketing is another model in online marketing. Here the local based company will sell through the internet and find multiple clients online. Every model is created to cater to specific needs of marketing. There are many models which are a part of the internet marketing campaign. Every different product needs to be marketed differently. These business models act as a means to an end. They will help you accomplish your goals or tasks as desired.
